In my previous post, “Make Easy Money – An example” I directed you to the picture of a $901,000 check. Well, the owner of that check has another post in which he gives a few ideas on how to make a site that could have HUGE potential.
There are a LOT of big sites out there. I mean, look at MySpace.com, eBay, digg.com, etc… But his ideas on how to be #1 in a market are very good starting points, though they’re not over-night development projects.
Here’s a taste:
1. A free monster.com clone, maybe with a ebay like reputation system.
2. A social networking/ stock/money portal with a built in digg.com clone to highlight user generated “research reports” or “articles”.
Take a look at other interesting ideas and his comments on them here: “How to make a lot of money online via adsense”
And then, once you’re using AdSense, if you’re blogging for money and want to keep tabs on what ads are being clicked, take a look at my Plugin that gives you this info. Read about it here: “Google Desktop Plugins“
Just curious… How does your plugin keep track of which ad units are being clicked?
Assuming you’re blogging, you can sign up for a Metrics account at performancing.com, and then, using my plugin, you can view these stats from your desktop…
Hope that helps…
Thanks! I actually know that part already. What I’m asking is, Google hosts the adsense ads, and when ur readers click on the ads, only google will know.. so there must be some mechanism to retrieve that info from google or some way of tracking the clicks yourself otherwise. Is that done by Metrics? Sorry just curious about the technical parts…
I haven’t tried the software but i’m sure it’s a great tool!
Sorry… 😉
Metrics tracks the outbound clicks. I’m afraid I don’t know 100% what the technical details are, but I do know that for some reason it only manages to track the clicks done in Internet Explorer.
If you sign up for Metrics, you could go to the forums and ask a couple of questions. (Am I displaying my ignorance here???)
Thanks a lot! I get it now.. I’m very new to all this, so I’m definitely the ignorant one here…
